Hi! I have the pleasure of being invited to be a Surprise Party Guest (Designer) with the Seize the Birthday Team for the next several weeks. A fun challenge with a Party Topping, if you choose to play along or if not, an Anything Goes Birthday option.
The Party Topping (#282) this round is Any Color and Green and I chose to add Pink.
I selected the Atlantic Hearts (#572) Sketch and to add Layers for The Flower Challenge (#90) to complete my card.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Garden Green cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Soft Sea Foam Splatter patterned piece of paper from the Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper pack, an On-Line Exclusive product.
- The panel was die-cut with the Oval Floral die from the Lifetime of Loves Dies set.
- All pieces were reserved.
- The Outside Frame part of the panel was adhered to the card base.
- Decoration – Floral Frame: (3½” x 4¾”) Garden Green cardstock and (2½” x 1½”) Bubble Bath and Moody Mauve cardstock scraps.
- Using the same die as above, the Garden Green Oval Floral Frame was die-cut and fitted into the Soft Sea Foam Panel and the Soft Sea Foam Center piece was then adhered back in place.
- Again, the Floral Elements of the die were die-cut from the Bubble Bath and Moody Mauve pieces.
- Using Crafting Tweezers, pieces of the Bubble Bath and Moody Mauve die-cut Flowers were Paper Pieced into the Garden Green Floral Frame.
- The Leaves were left as is.
- Sentiment Banner: Garden Green cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, Best Birthday Wishes, from the Stippled Roses stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
- The Sentiment was then die-cut with the pretty Banner die from the retired Apple Blossoms Dies set.
An elegant little Floral birthday card featuring one of my favorite colors, Green. To complete the card, several Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added for a little sparkle.
