It’s Friday! The end of the work week and time to think about your weekend creative plans.
I have a quick little card for you today for two challenges: CAS Colours & Sketches (#529) with the Color Hue (#79) suggestion.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Copper Clay cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- The sentiment, Thanks So Much, from the On-Line Exclusive Tropical Leaf stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Copper Embossing Powder.
- Diagonal Split Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Copper Clay and White Plaid patterned piece of paper from the On-Line Exclusive Tartan Foil Specialty Designer Series Paper pack cut in half on the diagonal.
- Focal Image – Tropical Leaves: Copper Clay cardstock and Soft Succulent colored retired Dry Brushed Metallic Designer Series Paper pack scraps.
- Using the Open Leaf die, from the retired Tropical Layers Dies set, four leaves were die-cut. Two in Copper Clay to use as the Outline and two in Soft Succulent to use as the Inlay.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. I opted to put the greeting in the top left as it was more pleasing to me to have the patterned paper on the lower right.
Love me a clean and simple card, especially one with a little glitz and shine.
