Brightest Glow – All is Merry & Bright

Welcome back! Chasing another deadline and having fun…

Today, I am working with the Inspiration and colors suggested by The Card Concept (#202).  The inspiration photo has these beautiful textures and colorful simplicity.

I selected the TGIF (#450) Sketch and am sharing this card with Can You Handle The Pressure (#45) for the use of Embossing Folders and suggested element along with Krafty Chicks (#694) for creating a Christmas card.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Twisted Rope 3D Embossing Folder to mimic the Rattan Seating.
• Square: (3¾” x 3¾”) Smoky Slate cardstock dry-embossed with the Floral Star patterned On-Line Exclusive Basics 3D Embossing Folder for the Snowflake Pillow.
• Left Accent Panel: (2” x 3¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Holly Branch image from the Joy of Noel stamp set was stamped with Basic Gray ink and colored with both the Light and Dark Real Red and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends Markers for the Foliage.
• Right Accent Panel: (1” x 3¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Patterned Texture image also for the Joy of Noel stamp set was stamped multiple times with Mossy Meadow ink for the Blanket Knit texture.
• Accent Mat: (1¾” x 2¾”) Basic Gray cardstock.
• Sentiment Block: (1⅝” x 2⅝”) Real Red cardstock.
  • The sentiment, All is Merry & Bright, from the Brightest Glow stamp set and the Holly Berry image also from the Joy of Noel stamp set were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder for the Word Pillows.

The Sketch was ideal for bringing the Inspiration Photo to life because the Blocks worked so well for mimicking the Layered Pillows.  The Sentiment Block was popped up with Dimensionals.
