Two-Tone Flora – Best Wishes

Hey, Good Morning!

Dusting off a few retired ink pads for a double (colors and sketch) clean and simple challenge presented by CAS Colours & Sketches.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Leaf Spray image from the Two-Tone Flora stamp set was stamped twice with retired Gumball Green ink to represent the double triangle shapes.
  • The sentiment, Best Wishes and Happy Thoughts, from the Nature’s Prints stamp set was stamped with retired Hello Honey ink.
• Central Shape: Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • The Two Floral images (large and small), also from the Two-Tone Flora stamp set were stamped with 2^nd Generation retired Hello Honey ink and over-stamped with the coordinating two-step detail Floral image stamps with retired Really Rust ink.
  • The Flowers were die-cut with the coordinating dies from the Two-Tone Flora Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The larger Flower was popped up with Dimensionals. 

A very clean and simple all-purpose greeting card suitable for a myriad of occasions.  Sometimes, simple is all you need.

Are you like me?  Keeping all of your ink pads just in case you absolutely need to use that color again.  I am sharing this card with the Facebook Joy of Sets (November) color challenge as the retired colors are very similar.
