Birthday Wishes from the Crew

A sweet simple Birthday card…

Playing with: CAS on Friday (#269) for the Animal theme; Less Is More (#495) for the Colors; Happy Little Stampers (November) for the Sentiment; Freshly Made (#610) for the sketch; and sharing with Critter Crazy (November).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
• Cross Strips: (4⅛” x ⅜”) Bubble Bath and Balmy Blue cardstock scraps.
  • The sentiment, Birthday Wishes, from the Sending Smiles stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder on the Balmy Blue strip.
• Circle Accent Mats: Smoky Slate cardstock scraps die-cut with the (1¾”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Focal Circles – Animals: Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Both the Llama and the Bear were die-cut with the (1⅜”) Stitched Circle die, also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • The Antelope was fussy cut with Paper Snips and added to a (1⅜”) matching Circle that was die-cut from a Basic White cardstock scrap.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. 

Keeping the card clean and simple, yet fun for a child’s birthday.
