Gorgeously Made – Holiday Card

Welcome back!  I thought I would share a card I have designed for my Christmas card class series.

I was inspired by a several challenges: TGIF (#444) for a Layered Leaf design; Inspired By (#261) for the Neutral color palette and texture; Tic Tac Toe (#232) for the Copper color choice and embossing; and am sharing this with Krafty Chicks (#688).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Copper Clay cardstock.
• Card Front: (4” x 5¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • The Leaf image from the Gorgeously Made stamp set was stamped in the lower left and upper right corners with 2^nd Generation (stamped-off once) Copper Clay ink.
  • The Text image from the same stamp set was stamped with Copper Clay ink in a random pattern.
  • The Sprig Leaf image from the same stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink over the two previously stamped images and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.
• Sentiment Label: (3¼” x ⅜”) Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Season’s Greetings, from the Brightest Glow stamp set was also stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.

The greeting was popped up with Dimensionals and a bit of Fine Gold Thread and Amber Rhinestone Gems from my stash were added for a bit of Holiday bling.

I love how a stamp set not seasonally focused can be used to create a pretty Christmas card.  Especially when you use the stamps to decorate both the inside layer and the envelope.  Deceptively simple, yet so elegant.
