Holiday Garden Walk – Merry Christmas

Welcome back!  Sunday Studio Time.

For the color challenge over at the Color Dare (#572), I chose the Tuesday Morning (#730) sketch. Showcasing beautiful patterned papers and letting them do all the work!

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Diagonal Cuts of Sweet Sorbet Floral patterned piece of paper from the retired Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper pack and the Mossy Meadow Striped patterned piece of paper from the retired 2022/2023 Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
• Frames: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The (3⅜” x 4¾”), (3” x 4⅜”) and (2¼” x 3⅝”) Rectangle dies from the retired Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies set were lined up and die-cut to create the Frame Shapes.
• Focal Panel: (1¾” x 3⅛”) Poinsettia patterned piece of paper from the Garden Walk Designer Series Paper pack die-cut with that same sized Rectangle die from the same set, as above.
  • The sentiment, Merry Christmas, from the Peaceful Christmas October 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit was selected and stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.

All elements were arranged and adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Stampin’ Up! colors standing in for the Color Dare colors are: Poppy Parade / Sweet Sorbet (for Candy), Pretty Peacock (for Pine) and Mossy Meadow (for Jade).
