More Wishes – Merry Christmas

One more card for today.

Rooting around in the scrap bins earlier today, I came across a (4” x 4”) square of Holiday patterned paper from the retired Under The Mistletoe Designer Series Paper and I thought it would work well for the current sketch over at Atlantic Hearts (#548).

Before I knew it, I had cut the piece in complete diagonal.  Oh, well…carry on and let’s see what I came up with!

Here is the result:

MORE WISHES – AHSC548

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Old Olive cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The words, MERRY and christmas, from the More Wishes stamp set were stamped with Real Red ink.
  • Diagonal Panel: (4” x 4”) Cut patterned piece of paper from the retired Under The Mistletoe Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Accent Strip: (¼” x 6½”) Shaded Spruce cardstock scrap.

All elements were arranged and adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  A Real Red Cotton Ribbon (retired) Bow was created and added to the card.

Isn’t it fun to come across bits and pieces that were part of very loved pack of coordinated patterned paper and create a simple stamped card? Just Stamps, Ink and Paper!
