Seasonal Thanks

One more card for today.  Welcome back! Isn’t it glorious that we can now open the windows…I always look forward to the Fall Season as it arrives in the south.

There are a number of CAS (clean and simple) challenges and several Autumn theme challenges.  Some combine both.  I have created this card to address all of them.  Enjoy!

CAS on Friday (#268); Krafty Chicks (#686); Addicted To CAS (#248); The Card Concept (#200); Use Your Stuff (#495); Four Seasons (October); Joy of Sets (October); and the selected layout from Sketch Saturday (#736).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • From Masking Paper, Masks were created using the (1⅞” x 3½”) Banner die from the retired Banners Framelits Dies set.
  • The Negative Space Mask was positioned onto the panel and Crushed Curry ink was added with a Blending Brush.
  • The Positive Banner Mask was positioned over the Crushed Curry Banner.
  • Additional Masking Paper was positioned around the Banner to create the Rectangle Shape (2⅜” x 3½”).
  • Mossy Meadow ink was added with another Blending Brush.
• Die Cuts: Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Mossy Meadow cardstock scraps.
  • The Leaf Skeleton die from the retired Seasonal Layers Dies set and sentiment word, Thanks die from the retired Well Written Framelits Dies set were chosen.

The Leaves and the Sentiment were arranged and adhered over the “Banner Flags” completing the card.
