Welcome back! I have the pleasure of being a guest designer for the Color Hues this round. What fun! The colors are Coral and Blue (#73).
I selected the Just Add Ink (#672) Sketch and am playing with Paper Craft Crew’s (#537) Tic Tac Toe board, The Male Room (#178) Theme and Seize the Birthday (#270) for a repetitive element.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Pebbled Path cardstock.
- The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Something Fancy stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
- The panel was then dry-embossed with the On-Line Exclusive Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder.
- Focal Block: (½” x 3”) Balmy Blue cardstock, (¼” x 3”) Calypso Coral cardstock and (2” x 3”) Basic White cardstock adhered together to create a (2½” x 3”) Block.
- Decoration: Basic White cardstock.
- The Two-Step Oak Leave images, from the Season of Chic stamp set were stamped with Calypso Coral ink and 2nd Generation (stamped off once) Flirty Flamingo ink and Boho Blue ink and 2nd Generation Balmy Blue ink.
- The Leaves were die-cut with the coordinating Oak Leaf die from the Chic Dies set.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Coral Leaves were popped up with Dimensionals and retired Calypso Coral Seasonal Sequins were added.
A great masculine birthday card in non-traditional Fall colors.
