Tuesday – Design time and today I am combining the Hand Stamped Sentiments (#423) inspiration mood board with the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#426) sketch.

Additional Challenges: Seize the Birthday (#269) and Happy Little Stampers (September) Birthday along with Happy Little Stampers (September) Dies.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Wood patterned piece of paper from the retired Wood Textures Designer Series Paper pack.
- Tags: (2¼” x 4¼”) Boho Blue and Garden Green cardstock.
- The Tags were die-cut with one of the large Tag dies from the Tailor Made Tags Dies set.
- The Floral Leaf image from the September 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit – With Love & Gratitude was stamped with 2nd Generation Boho Blue ink onto the Boho Blue Tag.
- The Tag was then dry-embossed with the Cross-Hatch patterned On-Line Exclusive Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
- Tag Tab: Cajun Craze cardstock scrap die-cut with the coordinating die from the same die set.
- Circle Shape – Focal image: Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
- The same Floral Leaf image was colored with the Boho Blue and Garden Green Stampin’ Write Markers and then stamped.
- The Floral Leaf image was then die-cut with the (2⅛”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
- Sentiment Flag: (2⅜” x ⅝”) Cajun Craze cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Waves of Inspiration stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
- The Flag was die-cut with one of the Banner dies also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. A bit of Boho Blue 2023/2025 In-Color Jute Trim was added across the top wrapped around the Background Panel and a bit of Linen Thread was added to connect the Tags.
Taking inspiration from the Stampin’ Up! catalog samples is always a great place to start when presented with a challenge. The muted blues, grays and cream colors mixed with a Fall rust and green color make for an interesting color palette for a seasonal birthday card.
Thanks for spending some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!
