Welcome back! A brand-new week…let’s get started.
I have combined the following challenges: Shopping Our Stash (#504) Theme; Heart’s Quest (#37) Theme; Farm Quest (#35) Theme; Color Hues (#71) Colors; Freshly Made (#602) Sketch; and sharing with Critter Crazy (#78).
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
- Accent Mat: (3¾” x 2⅞”) Gorgeous Grape cardstock.
- Focal Panel: (3¾” x 2¾”) Basic White cardstock.
- To create the sunset, several tones of Tangerine and Violet inks were added with Blending Brushes. Starting with Fresh Freesia in the middle lower section, adding Highland Heather and finishing with Gorgeous Grape. Similarly, on the top half, starting with Flirty Flamingo, adding Calypso Coral and finishing with Pumpkin Pie.
- Water was added to a Stampin’ Spitzer bottle and lightly sprayed onto the Panel. Excess water was pulled up with a paper towel and the panel was allowed to dry.
- Once dry, the Rhinoceros image from the retired Zoo Babies stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The Horns were colored in with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.
- Completing the scene, the Tree image from the retired Serene Silhouettes stamp set was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- The sentiment, Love You & Miss You, from the Happy Labels stamp set was added across the bottom, stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
- Side Accent: (1” x 2⅞”) Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum (retired) from my stash was wrapped around the left edge with approximately (¾”) showing.
A fun and colorful greeting card.

Great way to incorporate the Color Hues colours into your card, the silhouette stamps create a fab African savannah scene. 🙂
