In The Moment – You Are The Best

Tuesday – Design time: Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#421).  Using the Stampin’ Up! Catalog Samples for inspiration and changing none, some or all the elements as you recreate a card is such a great place to start…

Today, I was inspired by Heart’s Quest (#36) Best Friends Day; Tic Tac Toe (#221) for Color, Tools and Stripes; and Can You Handle The Pressure (#37) for Stripes with Texture.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Azure Afternoon cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5⅜” x 4⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Using a Blending Brush and one of the Stencil Masks from the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks set, Azure Afternoon ink was added to the panel.
• Accent Mat: (4⅝” x 3⅝”) Azure Afternoon cardstock.
• Accent Panel: (4½” x 3½”) Basic White cardstock and Basic White cardstock Off-Cut Strips.
  • The Strips were dry-embossed with the all three of the On-Line Exclusives Basics 3D Embossing Folders and adhered to the panel in a diagonal striped pattern.
• Accent Mat: (2¾” x 2¾”) Misty Moonlight cardstock.
• Focal Image: (2⅝” x 2⅝”) Azure Afternoon Watercolor Wash patterned piece of paper from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The Girl in the Window image from the In The Moment stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
  • The Girl was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Top – Light Boho Blue; Jeans– Light Misty Moonlight, Pillow Front – Light Azure Afternoon; and Pillow Back, Coffee Mug and Hair Barrette – Dark Azure Afternoon.
  • Sentiments: You Are The Best and Love You from the Timeless Arrangements stamp set were also stamped with Versamark ink but heat-set with White Embossing Powder.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Three Boho Blue 2023/2025 In-Color Dots were added for a bit of bling.
