Cocoa for Coco – Happy Holidays

Welcome back!  I have been invited to be a guest designer for Caffeinated Christmas (#20) to have Cocoa, Tea or Coffee with a Cute Critter.

Nothing quite in my stash that would work, so another doodle was created especially for the challenge.  Say hello to Coco.

I am sharing this card with: Krafty Chicks (#676), Happy Little Stampers (August) and Critter Crazy (#77).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (7” x 6” scored at 3½”) Basic White cardstock for a mini slim line card.
• Background Panel: (3⅜” x 5⅞”) Real Red and Basic White Gingham patterned piece of Paper from the retired Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper pack.
• Cross Strip: (2” x 5⅞”) Garden Green Stylistic Poinsettia patterned piece of paper from the same Designer Series Paper pack.
• Focal Circle: (3”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Using a pencil, I lightly drew Coco with her Santa Hat, Holiday Sweater and Cup of Cocoa.
  • Using my Deluxe Fine Uniball Classic Black pen, I completed the doodle.
  • Coco was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors selected: Coco – Bronze, Hat & Sweater – Light and Dark Real Red; Cocoa Cup & Holly – Light and Dark Shaded Spruce; and Shading – Light Smoky Slate.
  • Coco was die-cut with the (3”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Sentiment Label: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The greeting, Happy Holidays, from the Brightest Glow stamp set was stamped with Garden Green ink and closely trimmed.

Always enjoy when I get a chance to doodle.  Coco is so festive, and her cup of Cocoa looks delicious.  What fun!
