Best Fishes

One more project for today…another CAS (clean and simple) card.

Challenges: Tic Tac Toe (#216) Diagonal Green/Blue, CAS and Critter lead to Cupcake Inspirations (#573) for a far less fearsome Critter and I chose the Paper Craft Crew (#525) sketch to complete the card.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Granny Apple Green cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Critter – Fish:  The Goldfish image from the retired Jar of Love stamp set was selected.  The Fish were stamped with retired Bumble Bee ink.  The top Fish directly and the bottom Fish in reverse mirror by first stamping onto the Silicone Craft Sheet and pressing the image to the cardstock.
    • Note: there was a bit of definition lost, so I added details back to the Fish with the retired Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker.
  • Masks were created for the Fish by restamping onto a Post-It-Note and fussy-cutting the images with Paper Snips.
  • The Sea Reeds image and the Bubbles image from the retired Seascape stamp set was stamped with Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide inks, respectively.
  • The Water Wave image from the retired A Fish & A Wish stamp set was stamped with Tahitian Tide ink.
  • The Masks were removed and detail was added to the Reeds with the Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Marker.
  • Completing the card, the sentiment, Best Fishes, from the Jar of Love stamp set was also stamped with Tahitian Tide ink.
