Week Two for my Guest Designer position with Krafty Chicks this month. Week Two is always Christmas…Christmas in July, why not?
Other challenges with a similar theme: Inkspirational (#293); Happy Little Stampers (July); Jan’s Digi Stamps (July) and I selected to CASE the Designer for a simplified layout from Inspire Create (#146).
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (6½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Split Background: (4” x 5¼”) Pretty Peacock Gingham patterned paper from the Glorious Gingham Designer Series Paper pack.
- The panel was die-cut with the largest Stitched Rectangle die from the On-Line Exclusive Radiating Stitches Dies set.
- The panel was cut in half at the (2”)
- The (2”) panel was adhered to the card front and the remaining piece was adhered to the visible section of the inside.
- Accent Mat: (2¾” x 4⅛”) Real Red cardstock.
- Focal Panel: (2⅝” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
- The Leaf image from the Inked & Tiled stamp set was stamped randomly with Pretty Peacock ink.
- The Berry image from the Ringed With Nature stamp set was added to the Leaf image with Real Red ink.
- The selected panel was then die-cut with the medium Stitched Rectangle die, also from the Radiating Stitches Dies set.
- The Berries were accented with Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a bit of bling / dew drop twinkle.
- Sentiment Accent Mat: (2⅞” x ¾’) Real Red cardstock scrap.
- Sentiment Banner: (2¾” x ⅝”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The greeting, Merry Christmas, also from the Ringed With Nature stamp set was stamped with Real Red ink.
- A couple of retired Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added.
Love being able to use a stamp set not especially festive for a Holiday card. I really like how the Pretty Peacock and Real Red colors pop with each other.
Thank you for spending some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!
