Celebrating You!

A few deadlines have snuck up on me…so, let’s get them done.

Use Your Stuff (#487) Hearts theme and Cupcake Inspirations (#572) for a Red, White and Blue color combination.

I selected the Try Stampin’ On Tuesdays (#613) sketch with the Celebration option and chose the tools and technique suggested by Just Add Ink (#660) as well as the shades of red and blue from Color Hues (#67).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock
• Inlay Card Front: Night of Navy, Basic White and Cherry Cobbler cardstock and the Radiating Stitches Dies set.
  • Using the largest Stitched Rectangle die, the (3⅞” x 5¼”) a Night of Navy panel was die-cut.
  • Using the (2⅛” x 4”) medium Stitched Rectangle die, the center was die-cut from the Night of Navy panel to create a frame.
  • A Basic White panel was also cut with this same die and the sentiment, Celebrating you today, from the Beside Me stamp set was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink.
  • The Basic White panel was inset with the Night of Navy frame and two (¾”) Stitched Circles were die-cut from the edge of the frame.
  • Using the same Stitched Circle die, two Cherry Cobbler circles were die-cut.
  • The Night of Navy Frame was adhered to the card base and the Basic White panel was inset and then the Cherry Cobbler circles were inset.
• Focal Shape – Heart: Merry Merlot cardstock scrap.
  • A Heart was die-cut using the Stitched Heart die and popped up with Dimensionals.

Completing the card, three retired Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added below the sentiment.

A clean and crisp card, suitable for a fellow but equally appealing to all for a variety of possible occasions.
