Design Time at Hand Stamped Sentiments (#417) and the Mood Board has plenty of options for inspiration. I selected the Seashell image.

Summer is here and there a several challenges with a beachy theme so I will try to capture the essence of each with a clean and simple card for Less Is More (#486) using the CAS Colours & Sketches (#514) layout.

And The Card Concept (#198) for the inspiration and the color choice and As You See It (#301) to create a card in less than 10 minutes that includes Seashells. How do you think I did?

Steps:
- Preparation:
- Quick Sketch planned; Stamp Sets selected and images adhered to blocks; Colors picked – Paper at the ready, Ink Pads and Stampin’ Blend Marker on hand; Copy Paper and Masking Paper ready, Cutting Tools ready – Dies and Paper Snips.
- Timer: Started
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Tahitian Tide cardstock cut and scored.
- Focal Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock cut.
- Two Seashell images from the retired By The Tide stamp set were stamped with Early Espresso ink onto Masking Paper and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
- One Seashell image was stamped onto the card front and masked and the second was then stamped next to it.
- The second Seashell was then also masked.
- The Sand image from the retired High Tide stamp set was stamped with Crumb Cake ink.
- The Script Text image also from the By The Tide stamp set was added with 2nd Generation (stamped-off once) Tahitian Tide ink.
- A Copy Paper Mask (4¼” x 5½”) was die cut with the (1¾” x 3⅛”) Rectangle die from the Deckled Rectangles Dies set and then placed over the masked Seashells with some Repositionable Tape.
- Using a Blending Brush, Tahitian Tide ink was added behind the Seashells.
- The Masks were removed, and the Seashells were colored with the Light Wild Wheat Stampin’ Blend Marker.
- The sentiment, Friends are like seashells…, from the retired Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set was added with Early Espresso ink.
- A quick glance at the clock…I am doing okay!
- The completed stamped panel was added to the card base.
- I am done…
Whew…and the elapsed time? Seven minutes and 33 seconds…Two minutes and 27 seconds left on the clock.

I like how this card turned out. Don’t you?

This is a gorgeous card Jolanda! You have done such fabulous work in such a short time. That’s why I want to draw your attention to the second last of our guidelines at the bottom of our challenge. We love to have you post your entry, but can’t consider you for a winner if you enter more than 3 other challenges besides ours. The reason for this is that we would like our crafters to be making their projects specifically for our challenges and not generically for many. It’s a shame, because this is a quality entry and would likely be in the running. Thanks for getting your speed on with us at As You See It Challenges!
