Oh, Happy Day

Welcome back!  It’s Sunday…how does that happen?  Almost the end of the weekend again…

Getting a chance to play and working towards another deadline.  Over at Just Add Ink (#658) we are tasked to choose two.  I opted for Scraps & Sequins.  I picked the Atlantic Hearts (#530) Sketch, the Peach tones suggested by Colorful Options (June) and the Sentiment focused theme from Shopping Our Stash (#499) to complete my card.

Here is the result.

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Petal Pink cardstock.
• Accent Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5⅛” x 3⅞”) Petal Pink Hexagon patterned piece of paper from the retired Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper pack.
• Bottom Strip: (4½” x 1”) Petal Pink Square Cross patterned piece of paper from the same Dandy Designs paper pack.
• Top Rectangles: (1¾” x 2”), (1¼” x 2”) and (1 x 2”) Floral patterned pieces of paper from the retired Pansy Petal Designer Series Paper pack.
• Cross Strip: (6”) Petal Pink Metallic Edged Ribbon (retired).
• Focal Image – Sentiment: (1¾”) Calypso Coral cardstock.
  • The sentiment, Oh, Happy Day, from the Playing in the Rain stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The sentiment was punched out with the (1¾”) Circle Punch, an On-Line Exclusive product.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch using retired scraps from my bins.  Several retired white and coral Seasonal Sequins were also added to dress up this sentiment focused card.

Oh, Happy Day…lots of options with this greeting.
