Inked & Tiled – So Sorry

Hi! Spent the day with Stampin’ Up! and the Creativity Now Seminar…very inspirational and I will share more in days to come.

However, I am playing with a few challenges as deadlines are looming and I had some fun creating this ultra simple stamped card.

For: Double Trouble (#141) for the Anything Goes Slim Line card partnering with a number of past collaborators: Festive Friday (#137) for color, silhouette and sentiment; Beautiful Blossoms (#6) including flowers; Inspiration Station (#50) for the silhouette idea and Tuesday Morning (#712) for the sketch.  I selected to use the current Facebook Colour INKspiration (#145) color choices: Lemon-Lime Twist (Green), Tahitian Tide and Blueberry Bushel (Blues) and chose a clean and simple design for Less Is More (#486) and Krafty Chicks (#669) for the any occasion theme.

Here is the result:

INKED & TILED – CHEEFUL DAISIES – DT141 – FF0137 – TMS712 – ISC50 – BBC006 – CI145 – LIM486 – KCC669

Steps:

  • Card Base: (7” x 6” scored at 3½”) Blueberry Bushel cardstock for a Mini Slim Line vertical card.
  • Background Panel: (3” x 5½”) Lemon Lime Twist Water-colored patterned piece of paper from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper pack and Tahitian Tide Dotted patterned piece of paper from the retired Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper pack.
    • The pieces were cut on the diagonal at (1”) top and (½”) bottom and taped together.
    • The Floral image from the Inked & Tiled stamp set was stamped with Blueberry Bushel ink for a silhouette impression.
    • The truncated sentiment, So Sorry, from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set was colored with the Blueberry Bushel Stampin’ Write Marker and stamped in the lower left position.

A very simple silhouette card.  Just Stamps, ink and Paper.  Apologizing is never easy…keeping it brief is most effective and sincere.

    1. What a pretty slimline card, CAS and love the combination of colors. And Wow, thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble, along with entering in Festive Friday, Beautiful Blossoms, Inspiration Station and Tuesday Morning Sketches many of our previous partners for additional chances at our random draw.

  1. Such a nice color combination, I don’t know why, but I have really been drawn to lime green lately! Also a great CAS design, thanks for joining us at Krafty Chicks and at Double Trouble!

  2. Lovely card, I love the silhouette against the background. Just a reminder that our definition of CAS requires lots of unused white space and we ask that you do not enter more than four other challenges with your make. Thanks for joining us at Less is More and we look forward to seeing more of your creations.
