Industrial Modern – Thank You

Welcome back to a new work week.  Let’s get started with a few more challenges.

Playing with the Photo Inspiration and Colors suggested by The Card Concept (#197a) Team and pairing it with the current Just Add Ink (#657) Sketch for a clean look.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Tahitian Tide cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Paper Piecing Technique using Basic White, Shimmery White (R) and Silver Foil Specialty (R) cardstocks.
  • Diagonally cut pieces of Shimmery White cardstock including the two corners and the mini (⅛”) strips and (½”) Pewter-toned Silver Foil Specialty cardstocks were added to a (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock piece.
  • The panel was trimmed to (4” x 5¼”)
• Stamping:
  • The Architectural Door image from the retired In This World stamp set was stamped into Versamark ink and then again into Early Espresso ink and stamped.
  • The image was heat-set with Clear Embossing Powder using the Clear Color Embossing Technique.
  • Using a Blender Pen, the Door was colored with Cajun Craze and Tahitian Tide inks direct from Ink Pad Lids.
  • Additionally, the Architectural Blueprint image, also from the In This World stamp set and the Industrial Cogs image from the retired Sense of Time stamp set were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Pewter Embossing Powder.
  • The sentiment, Thank You, from the Earthen Textures stamp set was stamped with Early Espresso ink.

The completed panel was adhered to the card base.  A super interesting masculine Thank You card.
