More deadlines today…a few more challenges.
Playing with the Inspiration List suggested by Festive Friday (#136); the CAS Colours & Sketches (#513) Colors; and the Paper Players (#645) One Layer CAS Style suggested card.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Focal Panel: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
- The Flower Fairy image from the retired New Wonders stamp set was stamped with Basic Gray ink.
- A Mask was created by stamping the image again on Masking Paper and then the image was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
- The original stamped Fairy image was masked and the Star Swoosh image from the retired Star of Light stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder for a bit of sparkle.
- The mask was removed, and the image was water-colored with a Blender Pen. Colors selected: Petal Dress – Blushing Bride (R), Skin – Petal Pink, Hair – Crumb Cake, Wings – Smoky Slate, Eyes and Leaves – Pear Pizzazz (R).
- The sentiment, Follow your dreams, from the Lighting Your Way stamp set was added with Pear Pizzazz ink.
- Using the largest (4” x 5¼”) Rectangle die from the Stitched With Whimsey Dies set, a bit of texture was added to the panel.
The completed panel was adhered to the card base for a very pretty card.
