Christmas Cheers – Merry Cafe

A fun Christmas Coffee card for you today.  Which means pulling out some retired favorites. Loving the Multi-colored Ornaments and the bright blue for a man with a modern sensibility.

A lot of challenges: Jingle Belles (#2312) partnering with Caffeinated Christmas (#18) for the themes.  Adding to Inkspirational (#291) for a seasonal card and Happy Little Stampers (June) for their Christmas option along with Heart’s Quest (#31) asking for a masculine card and choosing the Saturday Sketch (#727) to bring it all together.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pool Party cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Wintry 3D – Snowflake Embossing Folder.
• Torn Memo Paper: (3” x 4”) Pacific Point / Pool Party Grid patterned piece of paper from the retired Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper pack die-cut with the Memo Tab die from the retired Blossoming Happiness Dies set.
• Accent Mat: (4¼” x 2¼”) Poppy Parade cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (4¼” x 2½”) Multi-colored Ornaments patterned piece of paper, also from the Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The small Heart image from the retired Coffee Café stamp set was stamped with retired Polished Pink ink onto the Pink/Red Ornament in the lower right corner for the required “heart” element by Heart’s Quest.
• Focal Image – Coffee Cup: Pool Party and Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • The Coffee Cup image from the retired Merry Café stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The small Snowflake image was added to the cup and stamped with Pool Party ink.
  • The Lid image, also from Merry Café was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and some shading was added with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Marker.
  • The Coffee Sleeve image from the Coffee Café stamp set was stamped with Poppy Parade ink.
  • The words, Christmas and Cheer from the Merry Café stamp set were stamped with Shaded Spruce and Poppy Parade inks, respectively.
  • Using the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend Marker, the brightness of the Coffee Sleeve was toned down.
  • All three pieces, Cup/Lid/Sleeve, were fussy-cut with Paper Snips and adhered together.  Although there are matching dies, I sometimes find it faster to fussy-cut.
  • Additional shading/doodling was added to the completed Coffee Cup with my Pentel Extra-Fine Liquid Gel Pen.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Coffee Cup was popped up with Dimensionals.

Coffee at Christmas is fine, but coffee anytime is finer with me!  Happy Holidays….
