Welcome back! A quick little clean and simple card to celebrate that guy in your life.
Challenges: Inspired By (#240) and Inspire Create (#144) and sharing with Shopping Our Stash (#498).
I was drawn to the overall impression of the muted colors of the cabinet, the wall treatment and the metallic adornments on the cabinet. I wanted a pop of color, so I selected to use a color palette that included Crushed Curry, Misty Moonlight and Lost Lagoon.
I opted to use a stamp set in my stash: Clearly the Right Words from the Ranger Dylusions collection.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Soft Suede / Crumb Cake Distressed patterned piece of paper from the retired Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper pack.
- The sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Pewter Embossing Powder.
- Shapes – Hexagons: (1” x ⅞”) Bumblebee, Misty Moonlight and Soft Succulent scraps of patterned paper, also from the Harvest Meadows Designer Series Paper pack die-cut with the small Double Hexagon die from the retired Beautiful Shapes Dies set.
The Hexagons were arranged and adhered to the Background Panel which was added to the card base. Pretty simple and very attractive.
A nice card for a fellow that likes things tidy.
