Inked & Tiled – Birthday Silhouette

One more card for today…with another new stamp set: Inked & Tiled for another clean and simple (CAS) card.

The challenges: Just Us Girls (#681) for a CAS Silhouette card using colors inspired by the current Just Add Ink (#654) with the Atlantic Hearts (#526) sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock
• Card Front: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Three Masks were created with the (4”), (3¼”) and (2¾”) Circle dies from the retired Circle Collection Framelits Dies set and quarter sheets (4¼” x 5½”) of Copy Paper.
  • The colors, Daffodil Delight, Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide were added one color at a time using Blending Brushes.
  • The Leaf silhouette was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
• Sentiment Label: (3¾” x ½”) Basic Black cardstock scrap.
  • The greeting, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, from the Artistically Inked stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.

And that was it! A bright fun gender-neutral birthday card.
