Beautifully Happy – Happy Thoughts

Welcome back!  I am playing with some of my new goodies.  The new Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog and Sale-a-bration Brochure goes live tomorrow, and I am giving you a wee sneak peek!

I chose the sketch and some of the inspiration photo colors from Inspired By (#218) to make my card.  I felt that the colors worked well with the current Color Dare (#529) challenge too.  For something new, I will enter both the Inspire Create (#133) and Make My Monday (#191) challenges and share with Stampin’ Up! Only (#317). 

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Case Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Balmy Blue cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Leaf patterned piece of Vellum from the new Vellum Basics Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
• Circle Shape: (3”) Brushed Gold cardstock die-cut with the (3”) Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Sentiment Label: (2¼” x ⅝”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Sending Happy Thoughts, from the new free Sale-a-bration stamp set, Beautifully Happy, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.
  • The Label was die-cut with the smaller Flagged Banner die also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Focal Image: (2½” x 3½”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Floral image from the same stamp set was also stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.
  • Using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush, the Floral image was water-colored with Balmy Blue and Soft Sea Foam ink.
  • When dry, the Floral image was fussy cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.

Such a soft and pretty greeting card.
