Welcome back! Question for you…Chickens or Eggs, which comes first?
My general approach to challenge(s) kind of works like this. Often, I start with the colors. That generally gives me a feel for a potential theme, if one is not suggested. Next, usually comes the sketch. How can I work those colors into that sketch? Then I look through the Catalog(s) with the sole purpose of determining: “What do I have that could possibly work?”. A clean and simple sketch will often support a #simplestamping project.
As luck would have it, an ideal stamp set that was introduced in May 2021, Artistically Inked, is still available and is a favorite of mine and needed to see some ink. So many possibilities…
Keeping it Simple. Just Stamps, Paper and Ink.
Here are my inspirations: Creative Colour Challenge (#58), CAS Colours & Sketches (#491), Paper Craft Crew (#488) and Retro Rubber (#193).

Here is the result flipping the sketch to the vertical position:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Soft Succulent cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- The Dreamy Swirl stamp was added to the top right and bottom left corners using Soft Sea Foam ink. The image was stamped a few times to fill in the corners.
- The sentiment, Best Wishes, was stamped in the middle with Soft Succulent ink.
- Focal Image(s) – Flowers & Leaves: Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The Floral Rose image was stamped three times with Blushing Bride ink.
- The small Floral Center image was stamped, again, with Blushing Bride ink into the centers.
- The Double Leaf image was stamped three times with Soft Succulent ink.
- All of the elements were fussy cut with Paper Snips.
The Roses and Leaves were added to the corners of the background panel. Two of the Roses were popped up with Dimensionals.
One stamp set, some inks and coordinating paper. Pure #simplestamping. I challenge you to select a favorite stamp set and see what you can create.
Thanks for spending some more of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda.
