Texture Chic – Falling Leaves

How does a whole week go by, and you still seem to be chasing your tail?  Or in this case a challenge deadline…

Fall themes are everywhere at the moment, and here are the challenges that inspired me.  Paper Players (#611), Paper Craft Crew (#487) and Alphabet (Letter N) along with Tic Tac Toe (#182) and Double Trouble (#122).

Here is the result:

BOTANICAL LAYERS – TEXTURE CHIC DSP – CHIC DIES – PP611 – APLHABET Letter N – TTTC182 – DT122

Steps:

  • Card Base: (11” x 4¼” scored at 5½”) Soft Succulent cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Evening Evergreen cardstock dry-embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Vertical Strip: (2” x 5¼”) Gold/Orange toned (Mango Melody/Petal Pink) piece of patterned paper from the Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Shapes – Oak Leaves: Distressed Gold Specialty Paper scraps and Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent scraps also from the Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
    • The Oak Leaves and Leaf Detail were die-cut using the coordinating Leaf dies from the Chic Dies set.
  • Decorative Accent: Evening Evergreen/Soft Succulent scrap of patterned paper also from the Textured Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper pack die-cut with the Open Net die from the Chic Dies set.
  • Sentiment Label: So Saffron cardstock scrap.
    • The words, Thank and You, from one of the sentiment stamps from the Botanical Layers stamp set was colored with the Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Write Marker and punched out with the retired Small Oval Punch.

All of the elements were adhered to the card base.  A loop of Gold Metallic Simply Elegant Trim was added behind the sentiment which was popped up with Dimensionals.

A very pretty Thank You card incorporating Nature’s Fall Leaves in a lovely Orange, Green, Yellow and Gold color combination.

  1. I know that feeling Jolanda – I always feel like I’m chasing my tail too! Your card was worth the wait – so much colour and texture and a real showcase of your leaves. I love the distressed gold detailing too! Thanks for playing my theme challenge over at the Paper Players this week and with our board at Tic Tac Toe too!
