Sending Hugs – Eden’s Garden

Welcome back!  I have a busy weekend coming up and I am trying to get ahead…

So indulge me on a few more challenges: Sketch – Atlantic Hearts (#482) and Color – Facebook Colour INKspiration (#125).

Here is the result: 

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel – Diagonal Diamond Grid: (approximately 4” x 5¼”) Basic Gray cardstock die-cut with the Lattice die from the Organic Beauty Dies set.
• Insets: Sweet Sorbet, Starry Sky and Pacific Point cardstock also die-cut with the same Lattice die.
  • Basic Gray Diamond shapes were inset across the third row to represent the Cross Strip.
  • The Sweet Sorbet, Starry Sky and Pacific Point Diamond shapes were randomly added into the Grid for interest.
• Shapes – Heart and Oval: Sweet Sorbet and Starry Sky cardstock scraps were die-cut with the large Open Heart and Open Oval dies from the Brushed Shaped Dies set.
• Sentiment Label: (2¼” x 1”) Basic Gray cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Sending Hugs, from the Eden’s Garden stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.

The Basic Gray Grid was adhered to the card base and the colored Diamond Shapes were inset.  The Sentiment Label and the Heart and Oval were then added to complete the card.

Hugs & Love, a perfect card for anyone that need to know you care.
