Be Awesome! – Count on Me, Nothing’s Better Than…

Welcome back to the Studio.  Love that I have time to play on Sunday. Have you been creative today? 

A masculine card for the current Atlantic Hearts Sketch (#481) based on the Color Dare (#504) over at Color My Heart using the Choose Two of Three options from Just Add Ink (#612).

Here is the result: 

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Garden Green cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The truncated sentiment, BE AWESOME!, from the Nothing’s Better Than  stamp set was stamped with Night Of Navy ink.
  • The Panel was then dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder (an oldie but a goodie that is a particular favorite).
• Vertical Strip: (2” x 4½”) Night of Navy Striped patterned piece of paper from the 2022/2023 Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper pack die-cut top and bottom with the smaller Stitched Zig-Zag die from the Basic Borders Dies set.
• Square Shape: (2⅝”x 2⅝”) Pool Party cardstock die-cut with the same sized Square die from the retired Stitched Shapes Dies set.  I do not yet have the new Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Circle Ring: (2⅜”) Garden Green cardstock die cut with both the (2⅜”) and (1⅞”) retired Circle dies from the same Stitched Shapes Dies set.
• Focal Image – Bear: (2” x 3”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
  • The Bear image from the Count on Me stamp set was stamped with Stazon Black ink (as it is waterproof) on to the watercolor paper.
  • The Bear was water colored with So Saffron ink and the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush.  A little bit of Crumb Cake ink was added to the snout as well as used for some body shadowing.
  • The Bear was then fussy cut with Paper Snips.

Linen Thread was wrapped around the Garden Green Ring and all of the elements were then adhered to the card base to match the sketch.  The Bear was popped up with Dimensionals.

What a cool card for a great little boy.  Be fearless, be awesome!
