Beautifully Penned – Thank You

Playing in the Studio.  What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon…I am totally in love with the Designer Series Paper – Beautifully Penned. So many possibilities…

Creating for a few challenges.  Sketch: Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (#432); Color: TGIF (#328); Style and Materials: Stampin’ Up! August #SimpleStamping Challenge.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Sketch Blocks: (1¼” x 1¼) and (1¼” x 2¼”) Black and White Dotted patterned paper from the free Sale-a-bration (SAB) choice Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper (DSP).  The rectangles were colored with Coastal Cabana ink using a Blending Brush.
• Accent Panel: (3¼” x 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.  The Dotted squares and rectangles were adhered in place.
• Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Coastal Cabana cardstock.  The sentiment, I can’t thank you enough, from the free Sale-a-bration (SAB) choice Feels Like Home stamp set was stamped at the bottom with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
• Focal Image – Flower: (approx. 2” x 2”) The Flower image is from the same DSP pack as the Dots. A flower section was clipped and colored with the retired Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Blendabilities.  Once colored, the Flowers were fussy cut with Paper Snips.
• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Coastal Cabana cardstock.
• All of the elements were adhered together as per the sketch and the Flower was centered and popped up with Dimensionals.

Black and White with a pop of color is a classic combination.  A simple card.  Some paper, some ink and a stamp…
