Collage Curios Banner Love – Thanks So Much

Time is ticking…a few more combined challenges.

Theme (1): CAS on Fridays Challenge (#210); Theme (2): TGIF Challenges (#327) and because I used Vintage stamp sets: Retro Rubber Challenges (#164)

Here is the result:

I dug out a few older stamp sets to source “Tiny Images” for this challenge:  Collage Curios (V-2013) and Tiny Tags (V-2010)

I went through my stash of Designer Series Paper to look for soft colored papers to use as a backdrop for those images and found the Blushing Bride color in the Petal Promenade DSP pack and the Emerald Envy color in the Naturally Eclectic DSP pack.  The images were then punched out with small flag Banner Punch.

Steps:

  • Banner: Three pink and four green flags were created.  The Crown, Heart and Sentiment were from the Tiny Tags stamp set and stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The other images, Rose, Bee, Balloon and Butterfly were from the Collage Curios stamp set, also stamped with the black ink.
  • Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Soft Sea Foam cardstock.  Die-cut with the largest scallop frame from the Scalloped Contour Dies.  The center of the frame was then dry-embossed with Wrapped in Christmas Embossing Folder.
  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”).  I chose to use Lost Lagoon cardstock because it toned nicely with the green colored tags and the Soft Sea Foam scalloped frame.

The flags were attached to a piece of White Baker’s Twine and strung across the card front and looped through one of the scallop openings and tied off to complete the card.

Hope you like this little trip through Stampin’ Up! memory lane…

    1. LeAnne, so many challenge themes make me hunt for images that fit. Often, difficult to find a current stamp that fits. Glad I have a stash of oldies but goodies! Thank you for your nice comment.
