The Key to My Success is You – You Make a Difference

I have started designing for the CARDZ 4 GUYZ Team.  So excited to be welcomed.

This week the challenge (#275) theme is: KEYS

I took a browse through all of my stamp sets…(I have lots)…and looked for all that had keys.

Although many of the stamp sets used are retired, they are keepers because I like vintage images.  I hope that you like this card and I welcome you to join us at the challenge and create your own “Key” card!

Here is what I came up with:

Steps:

• Keys: (1” x 2⅜”) Very Vanilla cardstock. The Rectangle (⅝” x 1⅞”) from the Watercolor Shapes stamp set was stamped with Crumb Cake ink.  The Keys, from various stamps sets: In This World, Antique Collectibles, Artistic Etchings and Established Elegance were stamped with Early Espresso ink over top of the Rectangles.  The Keys were then die-cut with the (1” x 2⅜”) die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies set.
• Sentiment Label: (1″ x 2⅜”) Very Vanilla cardstock. The sentiment, You’re the kind of person…, from the In This World stamp set was created similarly as the Keys above but the Crumb Cake Rectangle was stamped-off once for a lighter colored background.
• Background Panel: (5⅛” x 3⅞”) Crumb Cake cardstock.  Two images from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set were added to the panel.  The Fine Lines with Crumb Cake ink and the Splotch with stamped-off Soft Suede ink.

The Keys and Sentiment were arranged and adhered to the background panel and then the panel was added to an Early Espresso card base (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”).
