This week’s Case-ing Tuesday Sketch Challenge (#307) was mixed with both The Paper Players (#544) Signs of Summer theme challenge and the Retro Rubber (#160) Summer Breeze theme challenge.

This is the result:

Who wouldn’t love to take a summer trip to Italy, hop on a Vespa and have a picnic at the beach…I’m just waiting for you to join me!
Steps:
- Focal Panel: (2⅝”) Shimmery White cardstock which is ideal for water color painting. The scene from the retired (2017) Mediterranean Moments stamp set was stamped with Stazon Black ink. Stazon is waterproof and will not smudge with the application of watercolors. A variety of ink pad colors were used to color the scene. Given the small details, I used the Fine-Tipped Water Painter.
- Cross Strips: (approximately – ½” x 4⅛”, 5” and 5¼”) Two strips from the retired Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper and one from a Pool Party cardstock scrap. The sentiment, Celebrate, is from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set. Only the word, Celebrate, was inked with the Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Marker from the larger sentiment saying.
- Accent Mat: (3”) Bermuda Bay cardstock.
- Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Shimmery White cardstock.
All the elements were adhered to a Bermuda Bay card base (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) as per the sketch layout with the water-colored painting focal image popped on top.
