Floral Square Circles – Hello

Here it is!  Sunday’s Sketch – SS003…a quick post as I have the Weekend Challenge yet to do…

A little creative paper snipping to use a chosen row from the Tic Tac Toe Challenge (#116).  Even though I was a guest designer for this board…there are seven more choices and I wanted to play.

And this is the result:

FLORAL SQUARE DIES – FREE AS A BIRD – SS003 – TTTC116 – TFC57

Steps:

  • The Focal Point:  Blue, Circle, Floral.  Basic White cardstock.  Two Floral images were die-cut using two of the four Floral Squares Dies. Using Paper Snips, the square frames were trimmed away.  Seaside Spray cardstock (retired) Circles (1⅝”) and (1⅞”) and Night of Navy cardstock Circles (1⅞”) and (2⅛”) were die-cut with the Layering Circle Dies.  These three elements were adhered together to create the two shapes as per the sketch.
  • The Cross Strip: (4⅛” x 1”) Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper (retired) to compliment the Focal Point Floral Circles.
  • Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder for a light textured finish.
  • The Flag: (1” x 1½”) Night of Navy cardstock scrap hand-snipped.  The sentiment, Hello, from the Free As A Bird stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.

I opted for a Basic White card base (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) and adhered the elements to resemble the layout.

Blue and White is always a fresh combination and I really like how this card came together.

Over at The Flower Challenge (#57), the theme is Clean and Simple and over at Happy Little Stampers, their Die Challenge for June is Anything Goes.  So, I will add this card to their sites.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!
