Popping in for a quick post. Getting ready for today’s class and had an idea that just needed to be tried.
Theme: CAS on Friday (#205) and Style: CASology (#391).
Stampin’ Up! has released a Digital Download of FREE images. UNITED THROUGH CREATIVITY. You can find it at my on-line store.
And this is the result:
That pie was just begging to be used. My Mom made the best Apple Pie (I am sure your Mother did too!) and I often favored it over Birthday Cake when we got to choose what kind of “cake” we wanted her to make for our Special Day! Enjoy!!

Steps:
- I downloaded the Apple Pie image from the United Through Diversity PDF and printed it on to Basic White cardstock. I cut it out with the (2⅞”) Square from the retired Layering Squares Dies set. I could also have just cut a square with my Paper Trimmer. I colored this image with a variety of Stampin’ Blends.
- I then used the (3⅜” x 4¾”) Stitched Rectangle Die to cut a frame around the square opening. I trimmed the frame by (¾”) so it looked more like a Polaroid. I stamped the sentiment, Thinking of You on your Special day, from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink to the bottom right of the frame.
- Keeping the card CAS (Clean and Simple), I chose to add a Basic White cardstock background (4⅛” x 5⅜”) dry-embossed with the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder.
I chose a Basic White Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”). The focus is the delicious Apple Pie.
What was your favorite Birthday dessert?
