The Tic Tac Toe Challenge (#112) deadline is approaching and I decided to use my chosen line with the Sunday Stamps Sketch Challenge (#256).
And this is the result:

Steps:
The Sketch suggests a Circle / Semi Circle shape behind the focal image. I chose to die-cut a piece of Vellum with the Lacy Succulent Panel (4¼” x 5½”) die from the Potted Succulents Dies. The arcs of the Succulents are evocative of Semi-Circles.
The die-cut panel was laid over a (4¼” x 5½”) piece of Soft Succulent cardstock.
For the Cross Strip, I chose to use a piece (4¼” x 1¼”) of Smoky Slate cardstock. The strip was dry-embossed with the Meadow Moments Embossing Folder.
White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow around the three adhered pieces. (Background, die-cut panel and cross strip).
The sentiment, Thanks, from the Simply Succulents stamp set was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on to the Basic White focal image panel (1¾” x 3½”). This panel was dry-embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and then adhered to the right of as per the sketch using Dimensionals.
To create the focal image:
- Succulents, I used Blending Brushes to blend Soft Succulent and Blushing Bride inks on to a scrap of Basic White cardstock. The Succulent images were stamped on to the blended colored scrap with Evening Evergreen ink and then die-cut with the coordinating dies.
- Pot, I stamped the Pot image on to a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cut and double folded (scored) it to create a slimmer profile. The Pot was colored with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends.
The Pot and the Succulents were arranged and adhered to the focal image panel.
I opted for a Basic White card base (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) to complete the card.
I love how soft and pretty these colors are and they work so nicely with the Vellum. I hope you like it too!

Wow, Jolanda, this is truly gorgeous, and what a fantastic background that vellum makes behind the die! So rich and soft looking all at once! Love this set! Thanks so much for playing at Sunday Stamps!
