Sitting here this morning enjoying my cup of coffee and decided to use that as inspiration for the card I created for these two challenges:
- Layout: Freshly Made Sketches – FMS481
- Color: Just Add Ink – JAI550
And this is the result:

I chose to use the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set. I stamped nine Coffee Cups with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on to a scrap strip of Basic White cardstock and with the matching Two-Step Filler stamp, I added Petal Pink ink to three, Poppy Parade ink to another three and finally, Shaded Spruce ink to the remaining three. All colors were stamped off once to lighten the intensity. Generational Stamping is a great way to get more mileage and colors from your ink pads.
The nine Coffee Cups were die-cut with the smaller (1⅜”) circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies.
To keep the layout design clean, I opted for a Basic White background panel (4” x 5¼”). The sentiments, Today’s Plan: Consume and Coffee were stamped in Poppy Parade ink prior to dry-embossing the panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
The Coffee Cups were arranged as per the layout pattern on to the background panel and then the panel was adhered to a Shaded Spruce card base (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”)
I really like the Retro feel of this card. And if you know me, you know that I love my coffee. What a great card to send as an invite to a friend to join you for a cup or two!
So glad you chose to spend some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!
