Strong, Loyal and True – Painted Poppies with Loyal Leaves

Creating for a few challenges today:

And this is the result:

I went for a minimalist Clean and Simple look for the square card design.  

Focal Point: (2¾”) Circle.  The Floral image was stamped on to a (3”) square of Basic White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The image was colored with the Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends.

The Flower was positioned to the left side and was die-cut with the Stitched Shapes Dies.  The circle was then dry embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.

Panel: (3½”) Square.  Crumb Cake cardstock.  The circle opening was also die-cut with the same (2¾”) circle die as above.  This was so that the Basic White circle could be fitted into the Crumb Cake circle opening.  The panel was dry embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.

Mat: (3¾”) Square.  Mossy Meadow cardstock.

Sentiment: The sentiment, You Are Strong, Loyal and True, from the Loyal Leaves stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink on to a scrap of Mossy Meadow cardstock and then heat set embossed with White Embossing Powder.  The words were cut apart and placed in the three-stack pattern as suggested by the sketch design.

All the elements were arranged on a Basic White card base (4¼” x 8½” scored at 4¼”).

Earthy outdoor colors of Crumb Cake and Mossy Meadow mixed with a Flirty Flamingo flower showing a Daffodil Delight center heart. One single bloom that stands out amongst the rest.  A Strong, Loyal and True friend that is such a comfort to have and to celebrate.
