Playing around in the Studio with an Easter / Spring theme. Several current challenges this week were on the same track: The SPOT Creative Challenge #155 , the Just Add Ink Crew – JAI547, the As You See It Group – AYSI246 and I chose the colors suggested by the current Color Throw Down Challenge – CTD635.
Here is what I created:

Our happy little Miss Bunny is here to let you know that Spring has Sprung and Easter is around the corner.
I dug around a little in my stash of older stamps and selected little Miss Bunny from the Eight Great Greetings retired stamp set and chose the sentiment, Happy Easter, from the retired stamp set A Good Egg.
Sometime in the past I found these pearlized papers and thought they were so pretty. I picked the pink, yellow, purple and aqua papers to match the color challenge and cut some (4” x ¼”) strips. I wove these strips to create an “Easter” basket as a background for the Bunny. The Basket Weave was trimmed up with one of the Layering Oval Dies (2⅜” x 3¼”) and layered on to rose-pink color matching Scallop Oval.
The Bunny was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on to a scrap of Basic White cardstock and colored with Stampin’ Blends: light Petal Pink, light Flirty Flamingo, light Daffodil Delight, light Highland Heather, and dark Pool Party. She was then fussy cut and popped up on to the Oval.
The supporting Basic White panel (3½” x 3¾”) was dry embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing folder adding a light texture.
All put together on a Daffodil Delight card base. Such a happy Spring color!
Thanks for spending some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!

Once again, you’ve thought outside of the box. The woven egg is just so pretty and so clever. I like the way you’ve let is be the star of the show by keeping the rest of the card low key. Thanks for sharing with us again at As You See It Challenge.
