Every month, a fellow demonstrator, Kylie Bertucci creates a space to showcase our cards. The top ten card makers are invited to participate in a blog hop held later in the month. While I have participated in the past, I have not asked anyone to vote for me. I would appreciate it, if you could give my entry a little love.
The theme this month is “Thank You” and I combined this with this week’s Sunday Sketch – SS044.
Here is what I made:

I chose to stamp the larger floral image from the Art Gallery stamp set onto a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with Flirty Flamingo ink. I chose this paper for its thickness and for not being exactly white or vanilla in color tone. The two-step matching floral image was inked in Versamark and stamped over the original image. Heat and Stick Powder was added and heated to melt. The piece was then added to a Gilded Leafing Embellishment “bath” to add the golden highlights.
The next step was to add the meandering stitched edging detail with the Stitched With Whimsy Die square. In the bottom right-hand corner, I added the small sentiment, Thanks, from the Inspiring Iris stamp set. The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder. Once completed, I trimmed the square (2½”) following the edges of the stitching.
Following the sketch layout, I chose a patterned square (3½”) of the Golden Garden Specialty Acetate and a Gold Foil banner (4” x 1”) and cut diagonal edge on the left side.
To match the stamped image, I chose to use Flirty Flamingo cardstock. The panel (5⅜” x 4⅛”) was dry-embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and mounted on to a Flirty Flamingo card base (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”).
Putting it all together, the panel was mounted onto the card base. Stampin’ Seal was added to the back of the right-side of the acetate (the part that would be hidden by the focal image) and put in place. A piece of the Vanilla/Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon was colored with the dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend and added to the gold foil banner with a Mini Glue Dot for a little more sparkle. The stamped image focal image was popped up with Dimensionals and added to the card.
I really like how the golden elements pair with the Flirty Flamingo color.
“Thanks” for spending some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!
