Envelope Surprises that are Truly Lovely

For inspiration I picked the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches – FMS472 and a color combination from the Color Throw Down team – CTD629 to support the CASology 383 theme: Envelope.

The name of the game today is Clean and Simple (CAS)

TRUE LOVE DSP – BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIP – FMS472 – CTD269 – CASology 383

Influenced by the color choices, I stamped the Basic White panel with the Hydrangea Floral stamp from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set multiple times in Blushing Bride to create a supporting backdrop for my focal images.  I then added texture to the panel by dry embossing it with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.

For the theme, I created two black and white Envelopes with the True Love Designer Series Paper.  I also cut two Banners strips from this same paper pack for the Sketch element.

The sentiment was computer generated and printed onto Basic White cardstock and trimmed to fit the Banners.  To introduce the red color, I colored one of the Flowers in the floral strip with the light Real Red Stampin’ Blend.

Lots of white space, clear focal image and a little pop of color.  I love creating black and white cards.

What surprises do you put in your envelopes?  What do you hope to find in mine?

Cheers,  Jolanda!
