This month’s kit JOY TO THE WORLD included enough supplies to create 8 Holiday cards. A stamp set, of course, laser cutouts and gold elements.

I had a play with one of the card bases and the stamp set to create a few alternatives using some of my holiday stash. The card base was cut in two and each piece was trimmed to 4” x 5¼”.
Merry Christmas

Using the back panel, I stamped the sentiment Merry Christmas in the lower right using Real Red ink. I added Delicata Golden Glitz ink to the inside of the Absolutely Argyle 3D embossing folder before running it through the Embossing Machine. This adds a little shine to the embossed pattern.
I stamped the Wreath and Berries on to a piece of Very Vanilla card stock using the Delicata Golden Glitz and Real Red inks
To increase the overall size of the wreath, I used the Seasonal Wreath 3D embossing folder which I then fussy cut. This is added to the card front and finished off with a small Gold Metallic Twine bow. For the tone on tone look, I used a Very Vanilla card base.
A soft, delicate card with a lot of texture.
Joy

The front panel of the original card base has a random gold stitched pattern that I did not want to cover up.
Since the Brayer was already inked with the Delicata Golden Glitz ink, I added more to the inside reverse (or debossed) side of the Seasonal Wreath 3D embossing folder. I liked how the leaves picked up the hint of gold color. I added a little green to the wreath by water coloring the smaller leaves in Shaded Spruce ink. Once dry, I added the sentiment Joy and Berries in Cherry Cobbler ink. These colors were chosen to match the Silky Taffeta Ribbon Combo that I still had kicking around.
I wrapped the background panel with the two ribbons and mounted it to a Shaded Spruce card base. The wreath was fussy cut and popped up with Dimensionals in the center of the card.
Another “quiet card” with a little more color.
These cards were created as per the kit instructions.

There have been so many wonderful cards created with this kit. Have you created an alternative with your kit contents? If so, post the card(s) you make on my Facebook Post: https://www.facebook.com/theinquespotstudio so we can all see your creativity.
Thanks for spending some of your time with me, Cheers Jolanda
