This week my challenge is to cut a Six by Six (6″ x 6”) sheet of Patterned Paper in what has been coined the “Quadrangle Cut”. Cut in four and create four cards.
I chose to use one of the sheets from the Boho Indigo Product Medley and from there chose the color palette. I love the Boho Indigo Product Medley. Stamps, Designer Series Paper, Dies, Die Cuts, Ribbons…everything you need to spur your creativity? How can you resist the denim toned blues and fabulous patterns?
Using this cut pattern, there is no waste and you get an interesting cut shape to use as a panel on your cards. If the patterned paper chosen is two-sided you have the opportunity to use both sides creating different looks.
Since I am creating for “Thinking of You” week, I chose the sentiment from “A Little Lace – Just a little note to say Hello” because this is an ideal intro to let someone know you are thinking about them.
Floral Pattern (Side 1)
The stamped vase is from the” Boho Indigo Product Medley” stamp set. Card (1) is Misty Moonlight and Sahara Sand and Card (2) is Night of Navy and Seaside Spray. The sentiment and vase images were White Embossed on the darker colored card stock.
Net Pattern (Side 2)
The stamped floral is from the “Jar of Flowers”. Card (3) is Night of Navy and Sahara Sand and Card (4) is Misty Moonlight and Very Vanilla. Sentiment is clear color embossed in Night of Navy.
