Round About Christmas

One of the challenges that I like to participate in, when I own the stamp set, is Stampin’ Through the Catalog. Today, the stamp set is FESTIVE POST. This stamp set is in the AUGUST – DECEMBER MINI CATALOG. A great little Holiday set that includes Hallowe’en, Christmas and Valentine’s.

I asked my husband which image he preferred from the many in this set…his selection was the car. So here are the details:

Featuring the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper. I chose the pattern with the little diamonds and matched it up with the Absolutely Argyle 3D embossing folder. With all of the diamond shapes, I felt that circles would work well.

I stamped the image of the car in Real Red and filled in the tree with the coordinating tree stamp in Mossy Meadow. Using Stampin’ Write Markers in Early Espresso and Basic Black, I colored over the tree trunk and the wheels respectively.

All of the circles are different sizes from the Stitched Shapes Dies. The Real Red pop of another pattern from the same DSP package and a smaller Pear Pizzazz one with the sentiment embossed in White compliment the stamped image.

To separate the image from the background, I added a little sponging in Pear Pizzazz and colored the White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon with the Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blend.

All together, I think this card came together nicely. My husband liked it. Do you?
