Paper Pumpkin Play Date – A Gift of Fall

Today I played with the AUGUST 2019 – A GIFT OF FALL kit.  A Fall themed kit.  Using components found in this box, these were the cards I created.  I am happy with the designs I created today.  They are both warm and cozy.

AUTUMN WREATH

The “Wreath” element was cut from one of the Add-On kit card bases with the largest circle Stitched Shapes Dies. The Kraft panel is from a deconstructed gift bag. The coordinating colors chosen were Pretty Peacock and Crushed Curry.  The yellow pops nicely against the teal.   All layers have added texture for interest.  Greenery EF on the Pretty Peacock panel, Wrapped in Texture EF on the Crushed Curry panel and Tasteful Textiles EF on the Kraft panel.  I chose a sentiment from the “Love of Leaves” stamp set which is stamped in Pretty Peacock.

HOLIDAY BERRIES

The berry stamp from the original kit was stamped in Early Espresso on to another Kraft panel from the deconstructed gift bag.  Using the Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends, the berries were colored.  Highlights were added with the White Watercolor Pencil.  The berry image was then cut with the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies.

Keeping this card rustic but warm, the card base is Crumb Cake, the accent panel is Soft Suede and the mat panel is Cherry Cobbler.  The Cherry Cobbler mat and the sentiment rectangle have both been texturized with the Tasteful Textiles EF.  The berries are tied together with a little Linen Twine bow.

The sentiment is from the “Wrapped in Christmas” stamp set and stamped using the color clear embossing technique.  The image and the sentiment have both been antiqued with a little Crumb Cake sponging.

A kit with pretty gift bag packaging.  Stampin’ Up! also created an Add-On kit that included 24 Note Cards in two designs and Matching Envelopes to extend the original kit contents.
