Sunday Sketch – SS017

 August 23rd, 2020

When I contemplate what to do with a sketch, I look through what I have, push a few colors around and have a think…What image do I have that would fit on 3¼” square?

The new copper colored Metallic Ribbon pointed me towards the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) because copper is featured accent color in this beautiful paper…If I used the Stitched Triangle Dies, I could cut Christmas Trees and add them to that square…and that is how I happened to create a Christmas card.

“Merry Days Gleaming Bright”

Cinnamon Cider is a good color to use as it is so close to a copper color.  I used it for the card base and the square panel.  The layer mat panel and the trees showcase three of the patterns from the Brightly Gleaming DSP.

The copper Metallic Ribbon is added to a Night of Navy strip to the right of the trees and the sentiment from the “Wrapped in Christmas” stamp set is popped to finish off the card.

I hope that your day is Merry.  Cheers!
