Design Team Time for Facebook’s Case-ing Tuesday (#589), where we select cards from the Catalogs and remake them as we are inspired. Today’s inspiration can be found on page 37 of the Sep – Dec 2026 Catalog with a few tweaks.
My design choices were influenced by Can You Handle The Pressure (#261024) to add embossing, Double D (#261104) to add texture and selecting four colors as suggested by Stampin’ Up! Only (#413).
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Golden Glow cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Mossy Meadow Two-Tone cardstock (dark side).
- Accent Panel: (2½” x 4⅜”) Golden Glow cardstock.
- Focal Panel: (2¾” x 4”) Mossy Meadow Two-Tone cardstock (light side).
- The two Mossy Meadow cardstock pieces were temporarily adhered together with low-tack adhesive and dry-embossed with the recently retired Paradise Garden Hybrid Embossing Folder.
- Using a Sanding Block, the Leaf pattern was highlighted to bring out white core.
- Shapes – Overlapping Leaves: Golden Glow, Cajun Craze and Old Olive cardstocks die-cut with the Leaf die from the Nature’s Symphony Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product.
- Sentiment Accent: (2¼” x ⅜”) Golden Glow cardstock.
- Sentiment Block: (1⅞” x ⅞”) Cajun Craze cardstock.
- The sentiment, Thinking of You, from the Radiant Sunflowers stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.
