Welcome back! Happy Sunday. Hoping you found some time to be creative today.
Today, I am playing with: Try A Sketch on Tuesday (#706) Layout and Facebook’s Colour INKspiration (#219) Palette for a lively handmade plaid.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crushed Curry cardstock.
- Accent Panels: (5” x 4”) Azure Afternoon cardstock cut at (1¼”) x 2 and (2½”).
- Plaid Panels: (5½” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Using a Ruler and the Crushed Curry, Afternoon Azure and Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends Markers, the plaid design was created.
- The completed Plaid was trimmed to (1” x 3¾”) x 2 and (2¼” x 3¾”).
- Cross Strip: (5½” x 1”) Crushed Curry cardstock.
- The sentiment, Have the best day, from the Cutest Crew stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive Product, was stamped first into Versamark ink and then Afternoon Azure ink and heat-set with Clear Embossing Powder.
- The strip was then dry-embossed with my favorite retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder for a bit of texture.
- Decoration – Leaf Spray: (3½” x 4¼”) Crumb Cake and Lost Lagoon cardstocks die-cut with the Leaf die from the Nature’s Symphony Dies set, also an On-Line Exclusive Product.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Leaf Sprays were trimmed and arranged across the Panels.
A bright and friendly greeting card. Always fun to create your own patterned papers…
