Wild Bunch – Birthday

Design Team Time for the Atlantic Hearts (#703) Sketch.

My design was influenced by Alphabet (Letter L) for a Kid’s card and Just Us Girls (#844) for a Moving element.

I chose the Palette from Color Dare (#723) because it was bright and fun and added Texture for Can You Handle The Pressure (#261010) with a Birthday twist.

Here is the result:

WILD BUNCH – RADIANT SUNFLOWERS – AHSC703 – ACB Letter L – JUGS844 – CD723 – CYHTP261010

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½ x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Poppy Parade cardstock.
  • Split Background Panel: (4” x 5⅛”) Daffodil Delight Two-Tone cardstock dry embossed with the retired Alpha Numeric Embossing Folder.
    • Using the Sanding Block, the texture was highlighted to bring out the white core and then cut in half.
  • Accent Mats: (1¾” x 3”) Basic Black cardstock.
  • Focal Panels: (1½” x 2¾”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The words, Happy and Birthday, from the Wild Bunch stamp set, the exclusive Product of the Month for June 2026, were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
    • The small Butterfly image from the Radiant Sunflowers stamp set was also stamped, with one stamped first onto the Silicone Craft Sheet, to get the mirror-image.  The Butterflies were colored with the Light Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend Marker.
  • Focal Image – Wobbly Snails: Basic White cardstock scraps.
    • The Snail image, also from the Wild Bunch stamp set was stamped twice, one in mirror image.
    • The Snails were colored with the Light Daffodil Delight and Light and Dark Timid Tiger Stampin’ Blends Markers and then fussy-cut with Detail Scissors.
    • Using both the Journaling Pen and the White Gel Pen, details were added to the Snails and the Butterflies.
    • Small pieces (½” x ¾”) of Basic White cardstock were accordion folded and attached to the back of the Snails to create the wobble effect.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch creating a fun birthday card for a wee person.

I am looking forward to seeing how you use the Atlantic Hearts sketch this week.

  1. This is a fun wobbly card in bright, playful colors, Jolanda! I also like that sanded background a lot! Thanks for sharing this with us at Just Us Girls this week with a card that moves!
